This piece of work was created to commemorate the Queens Silver Jubilee with a grant from the Cheltenham borough council. This work depicts the wildlife and landscape of the twinned Queen Elizabeth Park in Uganda. Members researched and sketched the images, then transferred them onto three canvases and painted them in acrylic. This work has been on display at Nature in Art as part of our spring exhibition, and will be on permanent display at Gas Green community centre. Helen drew an image depicting the animals and this has been made into a greeting card, which sold very well at Nature In Art, and will continue to be sold to generate funds for Art For All.
